The big Apple

Mom, Sister and I took a girl's trip to NYC last week just for fun.  Sister and I left the kids in the very able hands of our husbands and never looked back!   The first night we were there coincided with the Heisman award ceremony.  Our hotel was just a few blocks away from Times Square so we went to check out the scene.  I had packed my Aggie flag to show Johnny Football some support and we were thrilled when he won!

Sister and I also made it on TV just before ESPN rolled the credits.  What a great day to be an Aggie!

It seems we had two main goals the rest of the trip.  1. Eat. 2. Shop.  I'll have you know that we were extremely successful on both accounts!  We discovered a delightful dessert truck that serves up fancy waffles with scrumptious toppings.  We found it necessary to eat there twice.  Hey, I'm eating for two, right?!  I don't know what my sister's excuse is...

Our hotel was right across from Bryant park.  So festive!

(enjoy that belly pic, it might be the only one you see)
Mom treated us to the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular show as well as the Broadway play, Once.  I enjoyed both and would see Once again!  NYC is really a special place during Christmas.  They really go all out!  Thanks, mom, for an unforgettable trip.  Let's do it again real soon!
